We are excited to announce the relaunch of the EDN Mentorship Program! The 2021 -2022 cohort will consist of 12 Mentor/Mentee pairs. We are currently accepting applications for those interested in becoming a Mentee. The application will remain open until April 15, 2021 or until we have reached our 12-limit capacity.
Qualities and qualifications sought in a Mentee
- Has earned a Highschool Diploma or higher
- Is eager to advance in his or her professional field
- Is interested and open to learning from others
- Will take initiative in engaging their Mentor
- Is willing to have open and honest discussions with Mentors regarding their goals, aspirations, opportunities, and challenges
- Is respectful and exhibits professionalism
Indicators of a strong Mentor/Mentee relationship
- Is Reciprocal: The relationship should benefit both Mentor and Mentee
- Involves Mutual respect: Both parties are respectful of each other’s time, efforts and qualifications
- Allows for Personal connection. Both parties are actively present in the relationship and are equally committed to getting to know one another
Time Commitment
We want Mentors and Mentees to have intentional and proactive relationships. We are asking for a one-year commitment which will include:
- One EDN Mentorship kickoff call
- Four Quarterly Mentee Cohort calls
- Monthly Mentor/Mentee call (at minimum)
