Since launching in 2018, the EDN Scholarship has raised over $110,000 and supported dozens of students pursuing higher education. This past year, we received a record 87 applications, a powerful reminder of both the ambition in our community and the financial barriers many students face. Nine students were selected for the 2025–2026 cycle.
Last year, we increased each award from $2,000 to $2,500. Our goal this year is to raise that to $3,000 per student to better meet rising education costs and provide more meaningful support.
We know that many students, especially Black immigrant students, face some of the highest levels of unmet financial need. For many families, community-driven support like this is what makes higher education possible.
As we prepare for the next scholarship cycle, we would be honored to have your support. Your contribution helps open doors for students and strengthens a growing global network of Eritrean professionals and families.
We hope to celebrate with you on May 22!
