Since launching the EDN Scholarship Fund in 2019, we have raised more than $100,000 and awarded scholarships to 54 students nationwide. The students we support reflect the diversity, resilience, and promise of our community. Of our scholarship recipients, 72.2% have been first-generation college students, meaning they are the first in their families to attend college.
This year, our goal is to increase the scholarship award from $2,500 to $3,000 per student to help offset the rising cost of higher education. Last year, we received a record number of applications, and we anticipate even greater demand this year.
We need your help to continue this work.
Here’s how you can support the scholarship fund:
- Donate: Every contribution makes a difference.
- Spread the word: Share our fundraiser with friends, family members, colleagues, neighbors, and anyone who believes in investing in the next generation.
- Share the scholarship application: Help us reach eligible students across the country.
This scholarship exists because of the generosity of our community. It is truly an investment in Eritrean students, made possible by Eritreans and friends of the Eritrean community who believe in the power of education.
